Pray, eat, love!

'The keys to patience are acceptance and faith. Accept things as they are, and look realistically at the world around you. Have faith in yourself and in the direction you have chosen' - Ralph Marston

She was sad and hopeless...The divorce drama has been the most painful chapter of her life. She has lost everything: her husband, her child, her job, the hope. Since then, she has forgotten how to smile, how to laugh, how to stay alive. All she could do was crying till throwing up...She was still alive, but her soul was long dead.

One night, she had a dream. She dreamed of God's hands, gently touching her face, holding her hands and telling her that everything would be all right soon. She wakes up in the morning, all alone, with tears in her eyes, disappointed because it was just a dream; a dream that seemed so real...

A couple of hours later, she was up and about again, she put some clothes on and went to the only place where she could find release. She went to Church and asked God to forgive her for longing for death for so long.

'Life is the most precious gift you've given me, God...Forgive me please'

She sat on her knees and prayed, while painful tears were falling from her eyes. One of the boys present, sitting in the back, noticed her. He felt so much compassion seeing her crying that he dares to come closer and to touch her shoulder.

'Whatever saddens your heart so much, will make you a better person. Everything happens for a reason.'

At the end of the rite, she wipes off her tears, and seeks for the boy who tried to allay her sorrow. She founds him in the back of the Church, still praying. After thanking him for his words, she heads out of the Church, but he grabs her hand and says:

'I was wondering...if you would like to go out for dinner tonight. I don't like eating alone'

As he holds her hands and looks at her with love and compassion, she suddenly remembers the dream when God was holding her hands, telling her that everything will be ok. Only then, she understands.

If you want your dreams to come true, first you have to wake up!
